Focus on Foodbanks event at Hearts match

Saints Fans Supporting Foodbanks (SFSF) will hold its annual ‘Focus on Foodbanks’ event on Saturday, November 2.

We face Hearts at McDiarmid Park in the William Hill Premiership that day with the fixture kicking-off at 3pm.

Supporters of both teams are being encouraged to bring along a donation to support Perth and Kinross Foodbank.

Before the match, volunteers from SFSF – as they do at every home game – will be on hand to accept collections of non-perishable foodstuffs and toiletries.

SFSF will be positioned in front of the Ormond Stand, near the club shop, prior to kick-off and will be on site from 1pm through until 2.45pm.

Colin Mackay, SFSF co-ordinator, said: “This year, as winter approaches and temperatures drop, demands on foodbanks throughout the country increase substantially.

“We want to ensure that Perth and Kinross Foodbank is in the best position possible to cope with the winter demands – and that no individual or family have to go hungry in Perthshire this winter.”

Saints Fans Supporting Foodbanks are again hopeful that businesses from around Perthshire will also hold collections in the run-up to the event.

Please note, SFSF will also be accepting collections at this Saturday's home game against Ross County.
