Deal agreed for Bozo Mikulic
15th October 2024
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms to sign defender Bozo Mikulic on a deal through until the end of the season, subject to a work permit being granted.
The Croatian centre-half (27) started his career with RNK Split in his homeland before earning a move to Sampdoria in Italy.
He would return to Croatia to play for Hajduk Split and, more recently, he starred for Auda in Latvia – where he worked with new head coach Simo Valakari – and then spent time with FK Partizani in Albania.
Bozo is a former Croatian youth internationalist and is looking forward to starting his career at McDiarmid Park.
He said: “I’m excited and I will give my maximum to every match and training. I know I need to give 100 per cent for the team.
“I expect this to be a very difficult league physically, with many good teams. It is a great step in my career, I'm happy to be here and hopefully we have a good season ahead of us.
“It means a lot to sign for St Johnstone. I've been through several different countries and cultures and that has made me a lot stronger as a player and as a person.”
Bozo added: “Simo was my coach two years ago and now being able to sign here is something amazing for me. I look forward to playing in front of our fans.”
