Callan Hamill called-up for Scotland U16s

Youth academy player Callan Hamill has again earned a Scotland call-up and will travel with the under-16 squad for a tournament in Spain this month.

Taking place at the Pinatar Arena, the young Scots will face the Faroe Islands on Wednesday, September 18 before then facing Indonesia or Switzerland on Saturday, September 21.

Callan, who has stepped up to play with our under-18 squad this season, has previous experience of representing his country and is looking forward to this latest trip.

Alistair Stevenson, head of our youth academy, said: “It is again good recognition for the club – and Callan has earned this.

“He recently re-signed for us and we were delighted with that. He has played in three U18s games now and has been very good in every one of them.

“He is getting a tougher test in terms of physicality, but he is coping with that really well. He has such a good attitude and it will be another great experience for him in Spain.”
