We can now confirm that Brodie Dair has joined English Premier League side Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The 16-year-old was brought to McDiarmid Park by head of our youth academy, Alistair Stevenson, at the age of 12.
Brodie was a regular for our successful under-18 team, enjoying both cup and league success.
He was no stranger to training with the first team and was included in numerous William Hill Premiership matchday squads.
While a St Johnstone player, Brodie deservedly earned his first call-up to the Scotland Under-17 squad.
It goes without saying that everyone at the club wishes Brodie all the very best for his next steps in football.
Head of our youth academy, Alistair Stevenson, said: “Brodie settled into St Johnstone life terrifically, was quickly popular with the players and was fast-tracked into the under-18 squad and started scoring valuable goals.
“He has achieved so much in a short space of time with the help of our dedicated coaches and we will always be on the other end of the phone if he needs us.
“We are all really proud of him and look forward to seeing how he progresses.”
Brodie said: “It has been a really enjoyable time at St Johnstone. Every single coach and team-mate have been brilliant to work with.
“Alistair [Stevenson] has helped me and been there through the whole journey. He has treated me like his son and I cannot thank him enough.
“I’ve had a lot of messages from the lads in the U18s and the first team, and the gaffer gave me a big hug before I left to say stick in. Again, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone for the support.”
