A festive message from CEO Fran Smith
24th December 2024
As we reach the turn of the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and express my sincere thanks to all of you for your unwavering support throughout the year.
It has been a year of transition and change for St Johnstone Football Club, with significant moments that will shape the future of our beloved club. Most notably, we witnessed the conclusion of Geoff Brown’s long and distinguished tenure as chairman.
Geoff’s leadership has been integral to the club’s growth and success - and we are grateful for the foundation he has built over the years. His legacy will forever be a part of St Johnstone and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Looking to the future, we are excited to embrace the leadership of Adam Webb, who has already brought fresh perspectives and energy to the club. We are confident that, under Adam’s guidance, St Johnstone will continue to evolve and strive for success, both on and off the pitch. His vision for the club is clear and we are working diligently to create a strong, sustainable future.
As we look ahead in 2025, we are focused on building a competitive team, investing in youth development and enhancing the overall experience for our supporters. We understand how important this club is to you and we are committed to ensuring that St Johnstone remains a team you can be proud of.
We will continue to build on our rich history while adapting to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
It was also a personal change for myself in late August starting as the club’s CEO and acting chairman to cover Adam in his absence through cancer. I’m sure you will all join me in wishing Adam full support as he comes through this personal challenge.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you, our supporters, for your loyalty, passion and dedication.
Your presence at McDiarmid Park, your cheers, your energy — it’s what makes this club special.
We couldn’t do this without you and we’re excited for what is to come.
On behalf of the entire team at St Johnstone Football Club, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and may 2025 bring you joy, good health and success. Thank you for being such an integral part of our journey.
Francis Smith, CEO
