Barry Douglas joined the club in October on a deal through until the summer of 2025.

The full-back is no stranger to Scottish football and cut his teeth with Queen’s Park before earning a move to Dundee United.

He would impress at the Tangerines and would then take his talents over to Poland with Lech Poznan in 2013 before a switch was forthcoming to Turkish club Konyaspor.

From here, Barry joined English Championship club Wolves and then was snapped up by Leeds United. He would spend time on loan with Blackburn before a return to Lech Poznan arrived.  

This is where he was most recently playing his football and he is now delighted to be continuing his impressive career with us here at St Johnstone.

Included in Barry’s career was a call-up to the Scotland national team and he made his debut in a win against Hungary back in 2018.
