Promoting the St Johnstone story in the city centre

We have teamed-up with Perth and Kinross Council (PKC) to spread the St Johnstone name further within the city centre.

Images and video promoting our new third kit will appear and be projected on the walls of St Paul’s Square this evening (Friday, December 13th) and over the weekend from 6pm.

The kit was designed by Glencarse-based business Little Lies and will benefit three charities: Fans Supporting Foodbanks, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and Saints in the Community.

Photos and supporter memories of our former ground Muirton Park will also be on show at St Paul's. We will be commemorating the 100 years which have passed since it first officially opened in 1924 at our Premiership match against St Mirren on Saturday.

St Johnstone CEO, Francis Smith, said: “We have been and will continue to work tirelessly on our One Club, One City, One Community vision.

“We want to have as much presence as possible in the city centre and look forward to working with the council more in the future.”

Director Daniel Lamb has helped drive forward the link-up with PKC and said: “Having a greater presence in the city centre can only be beneficial for us and I must thank Perth and Kinross Council for their assistance with these two projects – and for helping us share the St Johnstone story to a wider audience.”

Leader of Perth and Kinross Council, Councillor Grant Laing, said: “I’m very pleased that we can help St Johnstone celebrate this important anniversary for the club. For many years the Muirton Park stadium was the Saints’ home and saw fans celebrate (and at times commiserate) together.

“It’s also great to see how the club is collaborating with local business and helping local charities through its brand-new third kit that will support not only Saints in the Community but also Fans Supporting Foodbanks and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.”
