Preview: St Johnstone WFC v Boroughmuir

St Johnstone WFC return to SWPL2 action this coming Sunday when they welcome Boroughmuir Thistle to the Riverside.

Kick-off in Perth will be 1pm and season tickets are valid. It will be £5 for adults and £1 for concessions (cash only).

Saints are looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 6-2 defeat on the road against Kilmarnock.

Manager Josh Henderson said: “It was a poor first half against Kilmarnock. We didn’t start well enough and let them have too much of the ball.

“We knew ourselves that it was slow. Off the ball, we need to be better and that is something we have worked on this week.”

He continued: “We have had good results recently so we won’t be dwelling on the Kilmarnock match. We’re looking forward to getting back out there.

“It’s our fourth time playing Boroughmuir this season and they are off the back of a good result against Hamilton and will be full of confidence. We just need to make sure we’re up for it right from the start.”

Providing a squad update, he added: “We have a few wee niggles in the squad but nothing to be overly concerned about. Hopefully the players can go and show what they can do across the next four games.”

Boroughmuir currently sit third in SWPL2, while Saints are placed in sixth.
