LAST TIME OUT: CELTIC

Celtic extended their lead at the top of the William Hill Premiership thanks to a convincing 4-0 win against Motherwell on Sunday.

The hosts were required to wait until the very end of the first half to take the lead and that was when Arne Engels dispatched from the penalty spot.

Daizen Maeda would provide breathing space with the second just shy of the hour mark before goals from Nicolas Kuhn and Reo Hatate rounded off the victory.

With both Rangers and Aberdeen on the receiving end of defeats, Celtic’s advantage at the summit of the table is now at 12 points.

LAST TIME OUT: SAINTS

We were edged out 2-1 by Tayside rivals Dundee United at McDiarmid Park in our most recent William Hill Premiership.

Our final home game of 2024, we had taken the lead as half-time approached when Benji Kimpioka slipped into the path of Makenzie Kirk.

Kirk manoeuvred his body inside the box before wrapping his right foot around the ball to send it low into the far corner of the net.

Drey Wright then went close with a fierce strike early in the second half but United soon flipped the script through goals from Glenn Middleton and Sam Dalby.

Declan Gallagher was sent off late on for the visitors but they held out for the three points.
