LAST TIME OUT: SAINTS

It was a successful Scottish Gas Scottish Cup outing against Motherwell on Saturday as we deservedly advanced to the fifth round of the competition.

The only goal of the game arrived on nine minutes when Makenzie Kirk slotted home from close range following a Graham Carey corner. Victor Griffith’s initial header had been saved.

We had plenty of chances to extend our advantage and Griffith, who enjoyed an impressive debut, forced a smart save out of goalkeeper Archie Mair and later Graham Carey – making his 100th appearance – cracked the post.

Despite Motherwell applying late pressure with high balls into the box, the Saints rearguard held firm to book our ticket for the next round.

You can watch all the reaction on Saints TV.
