Keep up to date with our International Saints
18th March 2025

We have numerous players representing their countries on the international stage across the next week.
Daniels Balodis has earned selection with Latvia, Makenzie Kirk with Northern Ireland U21s, Stephen Duke-McKenna with Guyana, Andre Raymond with Trinidad and Tobago, and Aaron Essel with Ghana U20s.
We are always proud when our players are called up for international duty and we wish all of them every success across the coming days.
DANIELS BALODIS
Daniels has joined up with the Latvian national team for FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and England.
First up on the schedule is a trip to face Andorra at the Estadi Nacional on Friday, March 21 before facing England at Wembley on Monday, March 24.
Daniels is no stranger to representing the national team through the years, but this is his first call-up since arriving at St Johnstone back in January.
MAKENZIE KIRK
Makenzie Kirk’s impressive form has rewarded him with another call-up to the Northern Ireland under-21 squad.
He has joined up with the squad for three international matches in Antalya, Turkey against Ukraine (March 20), Uzbekistan (March 22) and Turkmenistan (March 25).
A very familiar face in Tommy Wright – a former manager of ours who won the Scottish Cup in 2014 – is in charge of Northern Ireland’s U21s.
STEPHEN DUKE-MCKENNA
Stephen Duke-McKenna is a regular in the Guyana squad and has again earned recognition this international window.
The creative winger, who is on loan to us from Harrogate Town, has jetted off for Concacaf Gold Cup Preliminaries matches against Guatemala.
Match one will be held on Friday, March 21 in Barbados before the reverse fixture takes place in Guatemala on Tuesday, March 25.
AARON ESSEL
Aaron Essel has been selected to represent Ghana’s under-20 squad during the international break.
The Ghana U20s will be in action in Morocco for a mini tournament as part of preparations for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D'Ivoire.
Aaron has previous experience of representing his country and has turned out at both U20 and U23 level.
ANDRE RAYMOND (ON LOAN AT DUNFERMLINE)
Andre Raymond, who is currently on loan at Scottish Championship outfit Dunfermline Athletic, has been selected for the Trinidad and Tobago squad.
Managed by Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke, the team has been preparing for Concacaf Gold Cup Preliminaries against Cuba.
The first match will take place on Friday, March 21 at the Estadio Antonio Maceo in Santiago before the return leg takes place on Tuesday, March 25 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.
