A stunning 30-yard free kick saw Aberdeen defeat Saints 1-0 in Perth.
The only goal of the game came on 56 minutes as on-loan Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson curled an exquisite free kick into the top corner of the net to seal the points for the visitors.
Callum Davidson – Pre Hearts
“Against Aberdeen we were good as a defensive unit and as an attacking unit we got into good areas. There are still some little tweaks we have to implement going forward, especially at home to try and get more goals.
“David Wotherspoon and Tony Gallacher are back in training soon, so we are looking to get them a bounce game in the next few weeks. Adam Montgomery is also back in training this week.
“Robbie Neilson has done a fantastic job at Hearts. They have fantastic players that they can rotate throughout lots of positions so it will be a very tough game.”
James Brown - Pre Hearts
“After the manner of the defeat against Aberdeen, its always a tough one to take. I have seen the free kick back, there is nothing you can do against it. We were all a bit down in the changing room after the game, we didn’t do enough to the win the game.
“It will be brilliant to get David Wotherspoon back in training, he has been out for so long. If we can get him back to anywhere near the levels he was at previously, it will be a massive boost.
“Other than the top two in the league, Hearts are probably the strongest side to face. We need to be more positive in the final third. Defensively we are pretty solid.”
