SPANISH TRIALIST ALLOWED TO LEAVE

Saints will not be signing the Spanish left back who joined the squad for their pre-season training camp in the West Midlands.

Manager Derek McInnes took the time over the duration of the camp to have a look at the player who had been recommended by the recently departed Goran Stanic but he has decided not to pursue his interest.

The Saints boss said “The lad did okay down south but he is not quite what I am looking for so the search goes on. I’ve also had a look a striker Derek Holmes and he is one I would like to pursue a wee bit further so we will see what transpires over the next few days.”

Meanwhile the build up to Sunday’s first ever McDiarmid Park concert continues with a huge number of stage crew personnel on site and well into the task of building the stage at the Ormond Stand end of the ground for the Elton John Concert. The entire pitch has also been covered for the gig.
