We want YOUR memories of Muirton Park

On Christmas Day this year it will be 100 years since the official opening of our former home Muirton Park.

On 25th December 1924, a healthy crowd witnessed the historic occasion as Saints defeated Queen’s Park 2-1 in a league fixture.

A century on, we plan to celebrate this special anniversary with a bumper edition of our matchday programme for the match against St Mirren on 14th December and as part of that, we’d love to receive supporter memories of the grand old Dunkeld Road ground.

What are YOUR Muirton memories?  It could be a specific match or just memories of what matchdays were like in those days.  How often have we heard about getting lifted over the turnstiles or the vast expanse of the Muirton Park playing surface?  Can anyone recall the days before the floodlights and the covered enclosure?

This is your chance to recall the days of terracing, wooden grandstands and changing ends at half-time!

Please submit your memories along with your name to paulsmith@perthsaints.co.uk no later than Sunday, December 1st.
