New policies for matches at McDiarmid Park

After consideration of many comments by St Johnstone supporters, and discussions with legal and safety experts, new policies for home games have been adopted.  These will take effect from our next home game.  The policies are as follows:

Ticket Allocation - Depending on the fixture, visiting supporters will be allocated tickets only in the North and Ormond Stands along with one section of the Geoff Brown Stand. Due to the wheelchair platform being in the Geoff Brown Stand, away supports are always required to be allocated a section of this stand due to club licencing. The East Stand will be for home support only.

Updated Terms and Conditions - The terms and conditions for all tickets to St Johnstone home fixtures have been updated. The new terms and conditions can be found HERE.

Improved Incident Reporting - All fans will now have the ability to raise concerns about unacceptable conduct and antisocial behavior immediately and discretely through the use of a QR code that will be prominently displayed throughout the stadium.  By scanning the QR code, fans will automatically access a form that is immediately sent to multiple club officials for fast response.

Opposing Fans in Hospitality Areas - All hospitality guests are reminded that the standard ground regulations apply to them, and in particular need to be mindful that hospitality seating is in an area of home support and they must behave in a manner which is respectful to other guests in this area.

Stewarding/Policing - There will be a zero tolerance for visible or audible support for the opposing team in the East Stand or home fan areas of the Geoff Brown Stand.  Any fans of the opposing team violating this policy will be escorted from the premises.

New Signage and Training – Additional signage will be posted clearly directing all supporters to their appropriate stands and stewards will receive additional training to direct all supporters to their assigned areas quickly and efficiently.

Working Group - A working group has been established to monitor these policies and propose new ones.  The working group consists of a representative from the fans' forum and other relevant parties from the club.  The working group will report on any other recommended policy changes throughout the season.

St Johnstone CEO Fran Smith stated: "Our new policies should give Saints supporters comfort that they can fully enjoy the matchday experience at McDiarmid Park.  We will continue to develop our policies to enhance the fan experience. We kindly ask that every fan gets behind the team and the club and support the new initiatives."
