St Mirren match preview

Saints travel to Paisley hoping to make it four wins in a row.

Last time out

A first half thunderbolt strike from James Brown and a second half goal from Nicky Clark saw Saints defeat Rangers 2-1 at McDiarmid Park this afternoon to make it three wins in a row.

St Mirren were defeated on the road as Ross County came out on top, winning 3-2 in a five goal thriller at the Global Energy Stadium.

The Highland side took an early lead, but Saints went into half-time ahead thanks to goals from Ryan Strain and Mark O'Hara. Two goals in four second-half minutes saw County take the points though on a frustrating afternoon for the Buddies.

Callum Davidson's thoughts

“Sunday was brilliant, we can take a lot of confidence from the victory, but we now focus on Wednesday. The last time we played St Mirren they had just beaten Celtic and we went on to beat them. We have to use that as a lesson, we can’t get complacent. We must go into this game with the exact same attitude as we have done for the last three games.

“We will try and finish strong, we have two huge games before the World Cup break and we are aiming to get as many points as we possibly can.

“Remi Matthews and Liam Gordon will both be back and available for the match.”
