St Johnstone WFC: Manager Josh Henderson's Rossvale reaction

St Johnstone WFC manager Josh Henderson hailed the desire of his team following Sunday’s 3-2 win against Rossvale.

It was delight for the coaching staff, players and supporters when Niamh Irvine netted the winner with just five minutes remaining.

Olivia Hurrell and Steffi Simson were also on the scoresheet for the Saints, who now sit level on points with Rossvale.

Reflecting on the match, Josh said: “I think we went through the rollercoaster of emotions there. At points we were very good but there were other points in the game when we weren't really at it.

“It was a highly competitive game and Rossvale, credit to them, really made us work for that win.

“It's a massive three points. It's tight amongst a few clubs for us, so we have to make sure we are picking up the points especially with the teams around us. 

“There was a real desire from the girls not to give up and I'm delighted for them to get that win.”
