St Johnstone Business Club meeting

The St Johnstone Business Club successfully met for the second time yesterday evening at McDiarmid Park.

A premier networking platform where businesses and football converge, the business club offers opportunities for local and regional firms to connect, collaborate and grow across the coming weeks, months and years.

Committee members Pam Conway (SAPHire), Matty Souter (Ryse Digital), Blain Ross (St John's Bar and Restaurant), Christian Williams (Here's The Plan) and Caroline Haxton (Scotia Cabins) were on hand to lead the evening alongside club director Daniel Lamb (Flonix Ltd).

Caroline, who expertly led the evening, firstly welcomed members before introducing special guests who were in attendance.

Those last night included our new men’s head coach Simo Valakari, first-team goalkeeper Ross Sinclair, St Johnstone WFC head coach Josh Henderson and first-team midfielder Niamh Irvine.

All the above took part in an insightful question and answer session with members learning more about our successful football department here at McDiarmid Park.

Shortly after 8pm, the business club broke for networking and head coach Simo also made his way around members to personally introduce himself and to learn more about the Perth business community.

Club investors Chet Arter and Matt Klase were also in attendance and both were delighted to take questions from members about their recent involvement with St Johnstone. Club CEO Fran Smith also spoke passionately to guests about the club’s commercial ambitions and targets moving forward.

Members on Thursday were invited to ‘bring a friend’ to help the business club grow even further and the night was again a great success for all involved.

If you are interested in joining the St Johnstone Business Club, please email our head of commercial, Jim Cowell - jamescowell@perthsaints.co.uk. You will then be sent a membership form and payment instructions.
