Premier Sports Cup fixtures confirmed

We can now confirm our fixtures for the Premier Sports Cup group stage.

In Group F, we have been paired alongside Greenock Morton of the Scottish Championship, Alloa Athletic of League One, East Fife of League Two and Brechin City of the Highland League.

In our opening match we will take on Brechin at Glebe Park on Saturday July 13, with a 3pm kick-off.

We will then welcome Morton to McDiarmid Park on Saturday July 20, also a 3pm kick-off.

A trip to Alloa, Indodrill Stadium, is then next up on Tuesday July 23, with a 7:45pm kick-off. And we will conclude our group stage fixtures when we welcome East Fife to McDiarmid on Saturday July 27, 3pm kick-off.

Manager Craig Levein reacted to our fixtures, saying: “You can’t afford to take anything for granted in cup competitions. We will need to be good from the word go and we need to show respect to every team we come up against.

“We’ll get moving on our research and get a look at what we will be facing. It is important that we have a really good start.

“If we start well in cup competition, you can then follow it up with a good start in the league. I am determined not to be in the same position as we were last season.”

The McDiarmid Park supporters' bus will be running for our away fixtures to Brechin and Alloa and you can book by calling 01738 459090 and selecting option 1. Prices remain at £13 for adults and £10 for under 16s and over 65s.
