Max Kucheriavyi and Ukraine into Maurice Revello Tournament final
12th June 2024

Our midfielder Max Kucheriavyi has helped Ukraine’s Olympic squad into the final of the Maurice Revello tournament in France.
The under-23 team picked up victories against Japan, Panama, Italy and Indonesia to top their group and, as a result, they now proceed to take on Ivory Coast in the final.
Max has played a key role in the fixtures so far this summer and he is now aiming to make an impact in the end of tournament showpiece.
The final is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 16.
“I always enjoy going away with the national team and look forward to seeing everyone,” Max said.
“This tournament is an interesting experience because we play every two days and that is how it was when we were little kids.
“We have a very talented group and we always try to help and encourage each other. Playing with Ukraine helps me to learn more about the game and add something new to my performances, because there are different ideas with your club and national team.”
Elsewhere on the international stage, striker Adama Sidibeh netted his first goal for The Gambia after coming off the bench in a 5-1 World Cup qualifier win against Seychelles.
He was then in from the start against Gabon and, despite a strong performance, the team was defeated 3-2.
Goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov was again selected for the Bulgaria squad and was on the bench for friendlies against Romania and Slovenia.
