Kodi McKinstray on his Pollok loan move
26th February 2024

Kodi McKinstray is looking forward to developing further in the game after joining Pollok FC on loan.
The central midfielder (17) makes the switch to the West of Scotland League Premier Division side through until the end of the season.
McKinstray has been part of the club’s successful under-18 squad and has previously enjoyed CAS Cup and league success. He was also in the team that reached the Scottish Youth Cup semi-final.
“Going to Pollok will get me playing against men and will make me a better player,” McKinstray said. “They are a great bunch of lads and a very good team.
“It is a tough league to play in but that can only be good for me and it will definitely develop me as a player.
“Some of the other boys have gone out on loan, are doing well, playing at a good standard and it is developing them. I need to keep improving with hard work, desire and having heart.”
Pollok currently sit 10th in the West of Scotland League Premier Division.
McKinstray added: “I like to bring aggression and drive. I previously played more defensive midfield, but now I am playing more attacking. Through my younger years I had always played higher up the pitch.”
