Yesterday it was confirmed by Scotland boss Gordon Strachan, on the Official Scotland Podcast, that St. Johnstone assistant manager Callum Davidson has joined the national side's backroom staff for next month's World Cup qualifier with England.
"We have done our homework and everyone speaks highly of Callum. He has also been an international player and knows what is needed."
Davidson was capped 26 times by Scotland and played in the country's last win over the Auld Enemy, a 1-0 victory at Wembley in 1999.
"There's a freshness and enthusiasm about him. We had a meeting to make sure we know each other and he understands his remit. He is very happy with that, he is going to be doing nothing different to what he has done at St Johnstone. They have had a great season."
