Duo sign for Saints!

The Football Club are delighted to announce the signings of defender Alex Mitchell from Millwall and goalkeeper Remi Matthews from Crystal Palace. Both will join on season long loans.
Mitchell, 20, signed for the Championship side in 2018, before progressing through the academy system, impressing in the U18’s and U23 squads.
The Englishman has previously been on loan to non-league side Bromley where he made 11 appearances. During last season’s campaign he made 30 appearances for Leyton Orient during his loan spell at the O’s.

Matthews, 28, started his career when he signed for Norwich City in 2014 and was loaned out several times. His most notable spells were at Hamilton Academical, Plymouth Argyle and Bolton Wanderers. Making over 95 appearances combined.
Matthews signed for Crystal Palace in the summer of July 2021.
Both players will be available for the start of the 22/23 league campaign against Hibs.
