SCOTTISH CUP DRAW
26th July 2016
The draw for the fourth round of the Active Nations Scottish Cup was made in the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park this afternoon and Saints have been handed an away tie against Forfar Athletic.
The match is scheduled for Saturday 9th January 2010. The Angus side are managed by Dick Campbell and will be a tough proposition on their tight Station Park pitch.
This will be the seventh time that we have met Forfar in the Scottish Cup but only the second time we have met them at their own ground. Saints have won five out of the six previous ties.
You have to go back to 1974 for the only time we visited Station Park on Scottish Cup business – a Sunday fixture saw a 6-1 win for Saints with Jim Pearson scoring a hat trick, John Muir twice and Gordon Smith.
The last Scottish Cup tie between the sides was in season 1998/99 when they visited McDiarmid Park and a John O’Neil goal brought a 1-0 home win.
