SAINTS LOOKING TO MAKE HOME FORM COUNT

SAINTS LOOKING TO MAKE HOME FORM COUNT

26th July 2016

Saints will look to bounce back to winning ways this weekend and continue our good home form when we welcome Danny Lennon’s St Mirren to McDiarmid Park in the “battle of the Saints”, writes Aidan Smith.

The Buddies are currently sitting in ninth place in the Scottish Premiership, five points behind ourselves in seventh.

Team wise for Tommy Wright he will be without the injured Brian Easton. However Paddy Cregg will be up for selection as he has sat out his two game suspension.

Tommy also has the option of new recruit Michael O’Halloran (pictured) who played the closing minutes of last week’s game in Dingwall.

Stevie May will be looking to keep up his good run of scoring as he has notched ten goals in his last ten games at McDiarmid Park.

St Mirren had some good news this week as they managed to extend the loan signing of Conor Newton until the end of the season but they are without John McGinn who is suspended.

St Mirren have only won one of their last nine games at McDiarmid Park, losing five and drawing three. They have won one game in their last eight games.

Saturday’s game is a 3pm kick off at McDiarmid Park. St Mirren fans will be housed in the North end of the Main Stand. The referee is Calum Murray.
