SAINTS & CALEY VYING FOR EUROPA LEAGUE SLOT

SAINTS & CALEY VYING FOR EUROPA LEAGUE SLOT

26th July 2016

Saints host Inverness Caledonian Thistle at McDiarmid Park tomorrow and it’s a crunch game in terms of Europa League qualification with both sides vying for what looks like one remaining spot – Motherwell very much in poll position for the slot allocated to the league runners-up.

The Caley Jags hold a four point lead over Saints and were the Highlanders to win tomorrow and open that gap up to seven, it’s difficult to see a way back for Saints with only three games remaining.

However, a Saints win would narrow the gap to a single point and make the final weeks of the season very interesting.

The thoughts of Manager Steve Lomas and midfielder Liam Craig – available tomorrow after a one match ban – can be seen on the Saints YouTube channel.
