ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS AND PRICES FOR VISIT TO DINGWALL
26th July 2016
Saints head to Dingwall on Saturday and if the concept of the two teams meeting on SPL business is maybe a first, a visit to the picturesque Victoria Park is certainly not as we met there many times on First Division business.
The matches were always keenly contested and both sides enjoyed successes in the various games in what was always one of our most eagerly anticipated away games of those First Division campaigns.
Saturday’s game marks the first occasion that the clubs have met in the ‘top flight’ of Scottish football and much has changed since we were last there, not least the name of the stadium which, although still registered as Victoria Park, now also has the sponsor moniker of The Global Energy Stadium.
Also a thing of the past is the terracing behind the goals which always gave a superb view of the action and although Saints fans will find themselves behind the same goal, it is now a seated affair.
Admissions costs on Saturday (it’s a 3pm kick-off) are as follows:
Adults £20 Concessions £12 Under 16s £10
The following categories qualify for concessionary price: Persons aged under 18, students in full-time education (university/college), persons aged 65 and over, persons in receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance/Disability Living Allowance.
Supporters should note that tickets for admittance must be bought from the Ticket Hut adjacent to the ground before the turnstiles are approached.
Fans should also be aware that in the interests of pedestrian safety all football coach and football-related car access to the football car parks will be prohibited within 30 minutes of the start of the match, so be there in plenty of time.
PHOTO: One of the most memorable games in Dingwall came in March 2006 when Saints keeper Matt Glennon scored a goal two minutes from the end to give Saints a point from a 2-2 draw. County had come back from a goal down to lead 2-1 until Glennon headed upfield for a corner kick and was on hand to lash the ball into the roof of the net.
