DEFENDER GARY HEADS TO PERTH
26th July 2016
Following the capture of left full-back Tom Scobbie last week, Saints are pleased to announce that they have secured the services of another defender – right-back Gary Miller.
The 25 year old has been with Ross County and played a vital role in the Staggies’ remarkable First Division championship success but the former Livingston man, who counts Dave Mackay and Murray Davidson as former team mates, has pledged himself to Saints for next season.
“This is a great opportunity for me†said Gary.
“It was a big decision to make after five years with Ross County and their promotion to the SPL but I believe this is the right thing for me. County are a great club and it was a great season and I wish them all the best but my priority now is St Johnstone.
“I spoke to Alex Cleland (Saints Under 19 coach) who was my youth coach at Livingston and that has influenced me. I had options elsewhere but I’m looking forward to getting started with the Europa League being a new experience for me.â€
