UNDER 19s DEFEAT THE LONG-TIME LEAGUE LEADERS

The Saints Under 19s had a great win today, defeating league leaders Hearts 3-1 at Stirling University.

1-0 ahead at half-time thanks to a Callum McConnell goal, the same player added a second before Hearts had a man sent off. Scott Gray made it 3-0 before the league leaders scored in the final minute of the game.

Coach Alex Cleland told the Saints Official Website: “It was a really good team performance and a boost for the boys after the loss last week. We were the last team to defeat Hearts and they are a long time unbeaten so it’s a great result.

“We scored the goals at the right times in the game and played the game at the right tempo.”
