HARSH LESSON IN THE OPENING GAME FOR UNDER 19s
26th July 2016
Two goals in each half gave Aberdeen a comfortable 4-0 win over Saints in the opening Clydesdale Bank SPL Under League match of the season in the Granite City this afternoon.
Our boys fell a goal behind in 19 minutes and the home side doubled their advantage in 27 minutes. Two goals in the space of three minutes just after the hour mark completed the win for The Dons.
Saints Under 19 Coach Alec Cleland told the Saints Official Website: “We started well but lost a poor first goal defensively and then they were awarded a penalty which we felt a bit hard done by.
“At two-nil I felt we were still in the game but then we lost two bad second half goals from a defensive point of view and after that it was about seeing out the game without further damage.
“There is a lot of hard work to be done and the boys will need to learn quickly.â€
