RANGERS MATCH POSTPONED

The SPL have now officially sanctioned postponement of tomorrow night's game v Rangers.

The proposal to make this decision was unanimously put to the SPL by representatives of Tayside Police, St Johnstone and Rangers, mainly caused by concerns about crowd safety - additional snowfall over 26th and 27th December has led to severe icing over certain areas of the McDiarmid Park car park.

The postponement means that Saints carry a backlog of three home games into the new year, as games against Hamilton and Dundee United also have to be re-scheduled.
