Jason Kerr

Jason Kerr joined Saints in the summer of 2015 and quickly demonstrated his defensive talents by picking up a League Two winners' medal whilst on-loan to East Fife in the 2015/16 season. Kerr also formed a formidable defensive partnership in the club's U20s side during that season alongside Liam Gordon which saw the side finish in 4th place in the Development League and reach the Quarter-Finals of the Scottish FA Youth Cup.

Jason returned to East Fife on-loan for season 2016/17 as the Methil club put in a strong showing in League One, narrowly missing out on the play-off places. After racking up 80 appearances for East Fife over two seasons, Jason signed a new two-year deal in May 2017 to remain at McDiarmid Park.

At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Jason joined Championship side Queen of the South on-loan until January 2018.

In December 2017, Jason signed an extended deal with Saints to remain in Perth until 2020 and he returned to Saints at the beginning of 2018 featuring in the Scottish Cup victory over Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill on January 29th. He made 17 first-team appearances for Saints in the second half of the season and has become a regular starter in the current 2018/19 season.

Jason has managed to pick up five Scotland U21 caps to date. In January 2019, he agreed a new long-term contract with the club to May 2022 after attracting interest from various clubs.

On July 5th 2019, following the departure of Joe Shaughnessy, then Saints boss Tommy Wright named Jason as the new Club Captain. He scored in his first match as captain in the friendly against Linfield at Windsor Park.

Jason made his 100th appearance for the Club in the 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday 15th August 2020.
