SAINTS GEAR UP FOR FIRST MATCH IN NORTHERN IRELAND

SAINTS GEAR UP FOR FIRST MATCH IN NORTHERN IRELAND Derek McInnes will run the rule over a trialist goalkeeper in tonight’s match against Distillery in Lisburn.

Keen to add a stopper to his squad, the keeper will attempt to impress sufficiently to be given the chance to join the club and compete with Graeme Smith for the starting position.

Murray Davidson misses tonight’s game but should be fit for Thursday’s encounter with Dungannon and there will be starting spots for Jamie Adams, Andy Jackson and Liam Caddis – all in the starting line-up for the first time this pre-season.

Jody Morris has trained yesterday and today and looks on course to play some part in the Dungannon Swifts game.

Meanwhile, the club has arranged for an ‘open’ training session with the team for any supporters who are in Northern Ireland for the games.

It takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3pm at the Greenmount Agricultural Centre Campus, Greenmount Road, Antrim (Sat Nav BT41 4PU).

Supporters are welcome to watch the players in training from 3pm and then mix with the squad to get photographs, autographs etc.
