The club is delighted to announce the signing of 28-year-old Michael O'Halloran on a two-and-a-half-year-deal.

Michael returns to McDiarmid Park for his third spell at the club after departing A-League outfit Melbourne City earlier this month.

Part of the Scottish Cup-winning team in May 2014, Michael departed Saints for Rangers in 2016 before returning on-loan in 2017. He left Rangers for a move Down Under but following his release from Melbourne City he has been reunited with manager Tommy Wright for third time.

Speaking at McDiarimd Park this afternoon, Michael said he was delighted to return to a place he says always feels like home.

"It's great to be back here," he said, "it was an easy decision because the club has always felt like the right fit for me.

"I feel really comfortable here playing under a manager who has had a huge influence on my career. I think it's obvious that I've played my best football here at Saints."

There are a number of familiar faces in the squad for Michael but he has noticed some changes since his last spell here in 2017 and says he's excited about the new crop of players he'll be working with.

"It's nice to see some old faces," Michael said, "and as always they've been very welcoming. There are quite a few new faces here too which is nice as well.

"I've been watching how well the club has been doing and the squad is a lot more youthful now compared to when I was last here.

"Back then I was one of the younger ones but now that's roles reversed. I'm really looking forward to playing my part in this young and exciting team."
