Saints first team stars Chris Millar, Brian Easton and Richard Foster visited Our Lady's Primary School last Monday in an effort to highlight the importance of being active and the benefits of youth sports with a new programme called Play On, devised by the club's new School Engagement Manager, Megan Moss.
The players answered questions about healthy habits, how they got into football as a youngster, and what it takes to be a professional football player.
Megan, who will be visiting a number of local primary schools in the coming weeks, said: “We had a great reception from the school, the children were all very excited to talk to the players.
“We want to get kids involved in the game again. With distractions like smart phones and video games it’s important to encourage kids to get outside and play.”
Pupils were also given fliers promoting our home match with Ross County on Saturday 19th November and the family offer of £16 for an adult and two primary school aged children to enter the SSE Ormond Family Stand.
