Friday 18th November

St Johnstone welcome Ross County to McDiarmid Park tomorrow afternoon. The Saints sit joint 5th in the Premiership table, five points ahead of 6th place and only a point behind Rangers in 3rd. Saints' last result was an entertaining 2-2 draw with Hearts in Edinburgh, goals from Danny Swanson and Chris Kane securing the point. However having lost their last two home fixtures St Johnstone will be eager to pick up all three points.

The reverse fixture between these two clubs was a 2-0 win for Saints in Dingwall earlier this season. County, who picked up a point at home to Rangers last time out, are currently 12th in the Premiership table and will be looking for only a third win of the season.

Keith Watson is close to making a return after an injury lay off and has returned to full training. Ally Gilchrist and Murray Davidson are both still injured and Chris Millar is unavailable due to a muscle strain.

Summer signing Blair Alston is confident of a positive result at McDiarmid on Saturday, he said the players were determined to improve their home results. "It's unusual for a team to be more consistent away from home but that's been the case for us so far this season. It's a hard one to figure out, maybe teams sit in a bit more against us but we're confident and capable of turning it around starting on Saturday."

"Ross County will make it difficult for us, they put in a good showing against Rangers before the international break and will have gained confidence from that. They have a lot if good players in the squad who will believe they should be sitting much higher in the table than they currently are."
