LOAN WATCH: Clean sheet for Sinclair as BSC win again

Four Saints loan players were in action for their respective clubs at the weekend with the pick of the performances coming from Ross Sinclair and Cameron Ballantyne at BSC Glasgow, who continued their fine run of form at The Indodrill Stadium on Friday night.

ROSS SINCLAIR & CAMERON BALLANTYNE

Scotland U18 international Ross Sinclair kept a clean sheet in BSC Glasgow's 4-0 victory over Vale of Leithen in the Lowland League on Friday night.

Cameron Ballantyne also played the full 90 minutes after being named Man of the Match the weekend before against Cumbernauld Colts.

The result moves BSC up to fourth place in the Lowland League table and means they remain unbeaten since the Saints duo joined the club.

Next up for them is a trip to Dalbeattie Star on Saturday.

CALLUM HENDRY

Callum Hendry was a second-half substitute in Brechin City's 3-1 defeat against Montrose in their League One derby fixture at the weekend.

Hendry came on after 76 minutes replacing former Saints striker Andy Jackson but he was unable to stop his side slipping to a defeat at Glebe Park.

The result leaves Brechin 6th in the League One table. Next up for them is a tricky away fixture at Raith Rovers.

After limited game time at the weekend, Callum turned out for Saints Reserves yesterday in the SPFL Reserve League clash with Hearts.

The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes and scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory for Alan Maybury's men at The Oriam.

GREG HURST

Greg Hurst played the full 90 minutes in Berwick Rangers' 3-0 defeat in League Two against Cowdenbeath.

Hurst had a decent chance early on for Berwick to take the lead but their task was made extremely difficult with the Shielfield Park outfit being shown three red cards and reduced to eight men during the match.

The defeat leaves Berwick 9th place in the League Two table. Next up is a trip to fellow strugglers Stirling Albion who are now managed by former Saints captain Kevin Rutkiewicz.
