SAINTS KIDZ COMMUNITY FOOTBALL PROGRAMME
The new school term starts soon and our regular SAINTS KIDZ SATURDAY morning sessions at McDiarmid Park begin again on Saturday 19th August.
MINI KIDZ
3-5 year olds 9.30am to 10.30am
Mini Kidz was a great success since it was introduced to the programme earlier this year. The session gives boys and girls who are not yet at Primary School, the opportunity to have a great time learning about movement, balance and coordination along with some very early football skills.
SAINTS KIDZ 4’s Primary 1 to 2 9.30am to 10.30am
Kidz 4’s consists of fun practices, followed by small sided games (usually 4 v 4) to encourage basic technique and movement in a relaxed environment. Includes an introduction to basic game awareness and how to create space.
SAINTS KIDZ 4/5’s Primary 2 to 4 10.30am to 11.30am
More work on basic technique and game awareness and always with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment. Kids in Primary 2 can take part either at 9.30am or 10.30am or both if they have the energy!
PREMIER GAMES Primary 4 to S2 11.30am to 12.30pm
Participants will be put into teams of 6 or 7 a side and after a warm up and practice, teams will play each other in a series of fixtures throughout the season. Primary 4 kids can choose to attend at 10.30am, 11.30am or both.
There is no need to book in advance for any of the sessions – just turn up and pay £3.
SAINTS KIDZ TRAINING & GOALKEEPING SQUADS
Our next Squad Training block starts on Thursday August 17th. Suitable for boys and girls in P5 to S2, the sessions take place every Thursday from 5pm to 6pm for 6 weeks (finishes on 21st September) on the Field Turf at McDiarmid Park in Perth.
The Training Squad consists of training and games with specific routines while those attending the Goalkeeping Squad learn all about the basics of being a keeper – handling, distribution, agility, dealing with crosses and positioning.

FAMILY FUN DAY @ THE CHERRYBANK INN
With great support from the Cherrybank Inn, we will be holding a Family Fun Day at the popular Glasgow Road hostelry on Sunday 24th September between 12noon and 5pm.
The day will be a fundraiser for The Saints Community Trust and will include a range of fun activities for all the family: BBQ, Inflatable slides, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting and much more. Put the date in your diary and look out for details.
WALKING FOOTBALL
Walking Football continues to attract great numbers. This fast-growing activity aims to keep men and women aged over 50 involved with football when, due to a lack of fitness, mobility or for other reasons, they are not able to play the traditional game.
Come along to the Field Turf pitch at McDiarmid on Thursday evenings between 7pm – 8pm and you will be made very welcome. There is no need to pre-book - just come along, pay £3 and have a laugh while you keep fit.
Walking Football is a great way to stay fit and active!
