Celtic U20s 1-2 Saints U20s

Thursday 26th April

Saints U20s completed their season in style this afternoon as they defeated their Celtic counterparts 2-1 at Lennoxtown.

After a goalless first half, Alex Cleland’s side took the lead on 59 minutes courtesy of a Jamie Docherty volley.

The Hoops fought back and they were level on 76 minutes as Jack Aitchison collected the ball in the box and evaded a challenge before firing it past Mark Hurst and high into the net.

However, Saints were not to be denied and they secured all 3 points with 10 minutes remaining as under 17s striker Oliver Hamilton broke into the box and coolly slipped the ball past Reece Willison in the home goal.
