An 86th minute Liam Craig penalty rescued a point for Saints against Aberdeen this afternoon, a result which takes St. Johnstone up into 4th place in the table above Ross County on goal difference.
Aberdeen had taken a first half lead through Simon Church, who pounced on a rebound following a block from Alan Mannus in the 35th minute. But it was a combination of play between substitutes Craig Thomson and Liam Craig which led to the late penalty being given after Ryan Jack brought down Craig in the area.
Saints are next in action on Wednesday evening when Partick Thistle visit McDiarmid Park.
