LADBROKES SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP: CELTIC 3-1 SAINTS

Saints ended a run of five matches without a goal but fell to a 3-1 defeat away to Scottish Premiership champions, and current league leaders, Celtic.

Steven MacLean, from a Michael O'Halloran cutback, replied within a few minutes to a Gary Mackay-Steven opener, but a goal before half time from Stuart Armstrong and a second goal from Mackay-Steven after the restart completed the win.

Next up for St. Johnstone is a League Cup semi final against Hibernian on Saturday
