The Saints Mental Wellbeing football squad enjoyed a fun festive coaching session on Tuesday 30th December at McDiarmid Park. The session was a reward for the hard work of all the players through out their league season and in the training sessions over that time. The players then enjoyed some soup and sandwiches before voting James Sloane as the 'Most Improved Player' - the trophy was kindly provided courtesy of the Bridges Group at Murray Royal Hospital.

Danny Griffin said: “It was great to see everyone on the day having lots of fun and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone back for the new campaign. This project has been terrific and I’ve really enjoyed being part of it as the players have all worked tremendously hard.”

The Saints Mental Wellbeing football squad is part of the successful SAINTS (Saints Academy – Inclusion Through Sport) Project which is a partnership project between Perth & Kinross Council’s Housing & Community Care service and the St. Johnstone Community Coaching team and offers a range of sporting opportunities and activities for adults with learning disabilities; autistic spectrum disorder or mental wellbeing issues (including those who have experience of mental ill-health or recovering from substance misuse).
