LEE CROFT HIT WITH SFA 'NOTICE OF COMPLAINT'

26th July 2016

The SFA Compliance Officer has issued Lee Croft with a Notice of Complaint in relation to a tackle involving Ross County player Liam Boyce in Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup tie.

The Saints midfielder caught the County player in the build-up to the Dingwall side’s goal in the second half and although the incident went unchecked by match officials at the time, the governing body have deemed it to be ‘serious foul play’ after viewing footage of the incident.

The player has been offered a two match suspension which, if accepted, would see him miss Saturday’s game against St Mirren and the Scottish Cup tie against Queen of the South in February.

The club is considering its position on the matter and has until 3pm tomorrow to respond to the charge.
