Here at McDiarmid Park we aim to ensure that disabled supporters enjoy their involvement with St Johnstone every bit as much as non-disabled fans. To that end the following information may prove useful.

2014 saw the formation of the St.Johnstone Disabled Supporters Association. Their Facebook page can be found: HERE

Parking

There are 15 designated accessible parking bays in the stadium car park – 10 outside the West Stand and 7 adjacent to the East and South Stands.  These are for use by Blue Badge holding supporters only.  A proportion of these are taken on a season-long basis by Saints supporters but the remaining spaces are available to pre-book on a match-by-match basis by phoning the ticket office on (01738) 455000, giving your name and the registration of your vehicle.  You will be allocated a numbered bay for you to use for that specific match only. If/When these spaces are fully booked any Blue Badge holders unable to reserve an accessible bay will still be accommodated in the normal spaces within the main car park but will be exempt from the car park charge.

Supporters in wheelchairs

Home Support:

There are 10 wheelchair spaces available in the Main Stand plus another 10 in the East Stand. Access to these positions is entirely on the level and there is a accessible toilet close by. Wheelchair-using supporters are admitted at a cost of £13. If the person is accompanied by a personal assistant, they will be allocated a seat in the row behind the wheelchair area and admitted free of charge. For those without season tickets, booking of wheelchair spaces on a game-by-game basis should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. Please contact our Ticket Office on 01738 455000 to do this.

Away Support:

In April 2011 the club opened a new accessible facility for away fans in the north end of the West Stand. Access to these nine positions is entirely on the level and there is an accessible toilet close by. Wheelchair-using supporters are admitted at a cost of £13. If the person is accompanied by a personal assistant, they will be allocated a seat in the row behind the wheelchair area and admitted free of charge.

Booking of wheelchair spaces on a game-by-game basis should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. Please contact the ticket office of your OWN CLUB (i.e. the club making the visit to McDiarmid Park) who in turn will advise us of all their requirements for this category of admission. Although this method of pre-booking is recommended to ensure that the facilities are not over-subscribed, we will sell wheelchair-user/carer tickets from our Ticket Office on the day of the game subject to availability.

Please note that this area of the West Stand is not always open as the 'general area' for away supporters and so there may be occasions when wheelchair-using away fans are the only supporters in this area of the ground. However, we shall always ensure that the area is properly stewarded and that help is given in providing toilet and refreshment facilities.

Ambulant Supporters

St Johnstone FC recognises that there are disabled people who do not use a wheelchair.

Our policy is to allow supporters with ambulatory disabilities concessionary rates of admittance in line with wheelchair users i.e. £13 for the disabled person with no charge for a carer. Booking of 'Ambulant Support' tickets should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. Please contact the ticket office of your OWN CLUB (i.e. the club making the visit to McDiarmid Park) who in turn will advise us of all their requirements for this category of admission. Tickets should be collected from our Ticket Office before proceeding to the relevant turnstile. We will sell unsold Ambulant/carer tickets on the day of the game from our Ticket Office subject to availability. However, the Club reserves the right to request “proof of disability” before any concession is made and such proof will include:

Please note, receipt of a blue badge will not be considered sufficient proof for the concessionary price.

Supporters with visual impairment

Hospital Radio Perth provides commentary to our games and fans with visual impairment can listen to this commentary via one of our radio receivers.  To book one of these you will need to complete an audio equipment hire agreement.pdf form and on match day bring it to our ticket office with a £10 deposit.  You will be issued with a radio receiver for the match and your £10 deposit will be returned to you when you return the receiver to the ticket office at full time. Please note we have a limited number of receivers and they will be issued on a first come, first served basis.  For more information please contact Beverley Mayer on 01738 459090 or email beverley@perthsaints.co.uk.
